Editorial Submissions

Acclimate is an English-language, quarterly magazine that covers topics relating to and of interest to expatriate women—trailing spouses especially—in the greater Bangkok area. We look for original analysis and research and intriguing stories. We ask that writers read recent issues of Acclimate and review our website to get a feel for the subjects we cover and the style of writing we prefer.

We are always interested in new ideas, stories, and features that might appeal to our readers. However, Acclimate rarely accepts unsolicited manuscripts. We will consider such manuscripts, provided they are exclusive to Acclimate. Please email submissions to tracey[at]acclimatemagazine.com.

We prefer pitches/queries to unsolicited manuscripts. Pitches should give a good idea of the proposed article's content and, where applicable, sources. Please also tell us your relevant background and include samples of your writings. Please email your pitches to tracey[at]acclimatemagazine.com.

Acclimate stories are typically between 800 and 1800 words.

We are unable to pay for stories.

We strive to respond to all queries within six weeks of receipt. Kindly note that we will only accept electronic queries and are unable to respond to telephone inquiries regarding unsolicited submissions or queries.

Our Community Submissions

Acclimate enjoys featuring photos from recent community events that appeal to our readers. Please email your high resolution photos, along with a brief description of the organization and event, to community[at]acclimatemagazine.com.
